Abstract

The article delves into Heidegger's philosophy, focusing on the forms of world-sharing and mourning. It argues that Heidegger's analysis of mourning, despite its collectivist tendencies, can be extended to understand the singularity of loss and its role in authentic existence. The text explores the dynamics of Being-with-others, both inauthentic and authentic modes, and how mourning can reveal the singularity of the other and open possibilities for authentic existence. It also discusses the phenomenology of mourning, emphasizing the unique and solitary nature of the experience. The author concludes by suggesting that Heidegger's philosophy, though not fully exploring the singularity of mourning, provides a foundation for understanding these phenomena.
