Abstract

The article introduces the Tricomi–Gauss beam, a new class of non-diffracting light beams, and studies its general and propagation characteristics. The Tricomi–Gauss beam is derived from the Tricomi function and can be reduced to other known non-diffracting beams like Bessel beams. The article provides a detailed mathematical model for the Tricomi–Gauss beam and its propagation through various systems. Additionally, it discusses the practical generation of these beams using computer-generated holography and presents simulation and experimental results that highlight the unique properties of Tricomi–Gauss beams. The study emphasizes the potential applications of these beams in optical communication and information processing.
