Abstract

The article delves into the challenges and potential solutions for enhancing the performance of Ni-rich cathodes in lithium-ion batteries. It introduces a Co-free Ni-rich cathode material, LiNi0.9Mn0.035Ti0.025Al0.025WO0.015O2, synthesized via the coprecipitation-calcination method. This material incorporates a tungsten-based Li-rich rock salt structure, which stabilizes the cathode and enhances its electrochemical properties. The study highlights the material's high reversible capacities and excellent rate capability, making it a promising candidate for next-generation high-energy lithium-ion batteries.
