Ukraine: Instabiles Regierungssystem und umkämpfte Demokratisierung

Zusammenfassung

Das Kapitel gibt einen Überblick über das politische System der Ukraine seit der Unabhängigkeit im Jahr 1992. Es beginnt mit der formalen Verfassungsordnung und ihrer teilweisen Umgehung durch informelle Institutionen. Ergänzend wird der Einfluss der EU und Russlands beschrieben. Für eine konzeptionelle Einordung des ukrainischen politischen Systems werden anschließend zentrale Ansätze der politikwissenschaftlichen Forschung vorgestellt. Abschließend wird ein Ausblick auf mögliche Entwicklungen in Reaktion auf den großflächigen russischen Angriffskrieg seit 2022 gegeben.
