Zusammenfassung

Quantitative Sozialforscherinnen sind bei der Datenanalyse in der Regel mit vielen Untersuchungsobjekten konfrontiert. Bei der Allgemeinen Bevölkerungsumfrage der Sozialwissenschaften 2018 (ALLBUS) liegen beispielsweise Angaben von 3477 Personen vor. Ein erster Schritt der quantitativen Datenanalyse besteht deshalb darin, sich einen Überblick über die Häufigkeitsverteilung einzelner Variablen zu verschaffen und die große Informationsmenge auf zentrale Angaben zu verdichten.
