The chapter delves into the usability studies conducted at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media, focusing on the Meta Search Engine (MSE) developed to unify access to various digital tools. The study compares MSE with Curricula Workstation, GEI-Digital, and International TextbookCat, assessing usability goals such as intuitive design, ease of learning, and subjective satisfaction. Due to the pandemic, the usability tests were adapted to remote settings using tools like Zoom, OBS Studio, and CamStudio.
