Along with electrification, alternative fuels can also contribute to reducing CO2 emissions of diesel vehicles. In tests with the research vehicle "Super Clean Electrified Diesel," Continental has explored the potential offered by the diesel blends R33 and OME15. Among other things, these tests showed that by using an OME15 blend containing sustainably produced synthetic fuel, it is possible to reduce WLTP CO2 emissions by 12 %. …
