Abstract

The chapter discusses the environmental impact of fast fashion and the potential of preowned clothing to mitigate these issues. It introduces the concept of using social media analytics to predict trends in preowned fashion items, focusing on sentiment analysis from platforms like Instagram and Pinterest. The study aims to shift consumer behavior towards sustainable fashion by leveraging the power of social media data. The proposed model demonstrates how sentiment analysis can influence consumer demand and reduce carbon emissions, offering a novel approach to promoting sustainable fashion trends.
