Abstract

The study investigates the antioxidant properties of lignin extracted from pine residual sawdust, a waste product from the timber industry. It highlights the potential of lignin as a natural antioxidant, comparing different extraction temperatures and their impact on antioxidant activity. Additionally, the article delves into the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using lignin, showcasing its effectiveness as a reducing and stabilizing agent. The antibacterial properties of these lignin-mediated silver nanoparticles against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria are also evaluated, offering promising applications in various industries.
