In 2022, as representatives from the Culture, Learning, and Technology division, we launched a call for proposals to examine how attending to diverse ecologies and learning climates impacts learning and performance in different settings. We were interested in showcasing work centered around a strength-based approach as it was applied across a broad range of settings and perspectives. We aligned this call with the AECT Culture, Learning, and Technology (CLT) division’s vision of championing inclusiveness and equity from an individual, organizational, and behavioral context. CLT describes these contexts as including self-identification and societal identification that influence one's experience with technology and learning.1 As such, our goal was to address gaps in the literature based on these outlined premises, with a call to address instructional designs from the strength-based lens. …
