Zusammenfassung

Die Verhaltensbiologie ist eine Disziplin der Biologie, die mit wissenschaftlichen Methoden das Verhalten von Tieren und Menschen untersucht. Was aber genau ist „das Verhalten“? Jeder hat spontan vermutlich eine konkrete, ganz persönliche Vorstellung davon. Ein bellender Hund, ein singender Vogel, ein flatternder Schmetterling – diese anschaulichen Beispiele haben vermutlich viele vor Augen, wenn sie an das Verhalten von Tieren denken.
