Zusammenfassung

In dieser Studie wird das Phänomen der hohen Sparquote chinesischer älterer Haushalte unter dem Gesichtspunkt der Vermächtnismotive auf der Grundlage der Daten des China Household Finance Survey analysiert. Das Ergebnis zeigt, dass, ähnlich wie in Japan, die Vermächtnismotive chinesischer älterer Haushalte einen positiven Einfluss auf die Sparquote der Familie haben. Dies gilt insbesondere für ländliche Haushalte, Haushalte mit mittlerem und niedrigem Wohlstand, Haushalte, deren Kinder außerhalb des staatlichen Systems arbeiten, und Haushalte mit niedrigem Bildungsniveau, was darauf hinweist, dass die Vermächtnismotive chinesischer älterer Haushalte eher altruistisch sind. Diese Studie trägt zum Verständnis der hohen Ersparnisse chinesischer älterer Haushalte bei und bietet eine Referenz für zukünftige politische Entscheidungen.
