Abstract

The article delves into the vibrational, optical, and physical properties of yttrium oxide-reinforced B2O3–ZnO–NaF–CoO glasses, which are of significant interest due to their applications in optical technologies. The study focuses on the structural changes and properties induced by yttrium oxide doping, including density, molar volume, and oxygen packing density. The optical properties, such as UV-Vis-NIR absorbance spectra and bandgap energies, are also thoroughly examined. The findings highlight the potential of these glasses in various optical applications, particularly in photonic devices, due to their unique properties.
