Zusammenfassung

Wir definieren Unternehmenszentralen als hierarchisch übergeordnete Unternehmenseinheiten von international operierenden Firmen. Unternehmenszentralen haben eine wichtige Bedeutung für Unternehmen, da sie einen Mehrwert für die Organisation durch verschiedene administrative sowie unternehmerische Tätigkeiten leisten. Sie sind jedoch auch wichtig für Volkswirtschaften, da Unternehmenszentralen wichtige Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten sowie Steuereinnahmen generieren. Österreichs Volkswirtschaft ist traditionell relativ abhängig von Unternehmenszentralen und wird dies auch in Zukunft weiterhin sein. Deshalb ist es für Österreich wichtig, seine „Headquarters Economy“ optimal zu gestalten und damit die Ansiedlung von Unternehmenszentralen zu forcieren bzw. deren Abwanderung zu verhindern. Wie steht es jedoch um Österreichs „Headquarters Economy“? Dieses Buch versucht mehr Transparenz zu Österreichs „Headquarters Economy“ zu schaffen.
