Abstract

The article focuses on the development of a wearable tactile sensor based on hierarchically structured PVDF-TrFE/ZnO nanorods for human activity monitoring. The sensor exhibits a maximum sensitivity of up to 935 mV/N, significantly outperforming conventional sensors. The hierarchical structure of the sensor, which includes vertically aligned ZnO nanorods, promotes the formation of the polar β phase in PVDF-TrFE, enhancing its piezoelectric properties. The sensor's superior performance makes it a promising tool for applications in health monitoring and motion detection, with potential implications for various fields including healthcare and electronics.
