Abstract

The article delves into the weldability of aluminum alloys based on the Al–Ca–Zn–Mg system, highlighting the benefits of using these alloys in combined cast and wrought structures. It discusses the challenges of welding different aluminum alloys, such as chemical and structural inhomogeneity, and provides solutions like using friction welding and developing deformable cast aluminum alloys. The study includes experimental analysis of alloys Al–1Ca–5.5Zn–1.5Mg–0.5Mn and Al–2Ca–2.5Mg–0.4Mn, evaluating their mechanical properties and weldability indices. The findings show that these alloys exhibit good resistance to crystallization crack formation and low porosity during fusion welding, making them promising for use in various industrial applications.
