Abstract

The article delves into the crucial role of parent-child sexual communication (PCSC) in promoting safer sex behavior and positive self-concept among adolescents. It examines the factors influencing parents' perspectives on who is responsible for PCSC, including perceived outcomes, subjective norms, self-efficacy, and demographic variables. The study uses the Theory of Planned Behavior and feminist perspectives to analyze these factors, aiming to identify potential intervention points to increase PCSC and its associated benefits. The findings highlight the importance of challenging gender norms and promoting inclusive sex education to better support adolescent sexual well-being.
