Companies are permanent searching how to gain sustainable competitive advantage or being unique. To gain competitive advantage it is essential to have a workforce who gets not only the job done but it is engaged and committed to create a culture of high performance. In the most cases companies immediately start to task HR to develop sophisticated and embarrassing performance management systems including a roll out plan, communication and other useless activities. But this doesn’t work any longer in a world where people look for orientation, values and culture. The purpose of this article is to determine the extent to which personal human values, defined as “kollektive Wertvorstellungen” are reflected into a performance culture.
