Abstract

The chapter delves into the evolution of wireless energy management integrated circuits, focusing on four key areas: active rectification techniques, voltage multipliers and optimal-tracking algorithms, dual- and multi-output regulating rectifiers, and resonant-mode architectures. It explores the transition from basic passive rectifiers to advanced adaptive and resonant-mode receivers, highlighting innovations in power conversion efficiency (PCE) and voltage regulation. The text discusses various rectification techniques, including active rectification with offset-control, which significantly improves PCE and voltage regulation. It also covers voltage multipliers and optimal-tracking algorithms that enhance the performance of wireless energy management systems.
