Since 2019, the German government has been providing substantial funding to promote network expansion, especially the 5G mobile communications standard. All of this is particularly interesting for the automotive sector, because almost nothing works in today's vehicles without connectivity. Connected services, however, place new demands on OEMs and development. IAV describes how connected car services can be safeguarded with fully automated end-to-end testing in a state-of-the- art mobile communications laboratory and soon also with a configurable 5G network at the Gifhorn site. …
