Abstract

The article presents a detailed study on the validation of X-ray inspection models using physical dosimetry, focusing on the accurate representation of PCBA components. It discusses the design and manufacturing of a test PCBA, the use of film radiography to identify and correct model inaccuracies, and the application of thermoluminescent dosimeters to validate dose rate estimates. The study highlights the significance of accurate model representation in radiation dose estimation and provides insights into the impact of X-ray radiation on electronic assemblies.
