This method considers the concentration of pollutants in the ambient air, aiming to develop 'Zero-impact Vehicles' that have minimal environmental impact. The article details the conceptual study that defined the requirements for these vehicles and the subsequent research projects that explored exhaust gas treatment concepts and particle formation in SCR systems. The findings suggest that current technologies can meet the stringent emissions targets, with hybrid drives and optimized operating strategies playing a crucial role.
