Abstract

The article delves into the strategic importance of zirconia-based nanomaterials in alternative energy technologies, such as solid oxide fuel cells and humidity-to-electricity conversion. It highlights the advantages of zirconia's ionic and proton conductivity, and discusses various synthetic methods, with a particular focus on the wet chemistry method. The authors propose a smart laboratory concept to optimize the synthesis and commercialization of zirconia nanopowders. This includes the development of a detailed algorithm for synthesis, characterization methods, and workflows to correlate material structure with functionality. The study aims to enhance the electrophysical properties of zirconia for applications in alternative energy technologies, making it a valuable resource for researchers and industry professionals in the field of nanomaterials and energy.
