Zusammenfassung

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde die Forschungsfrage untersucht, ob sich ein progressiver Einkommensteuertarif aus der Perspektive der Gleichmäßigkeit der Besteuerung ökonomisch begründen lässt. Dies kann als relevante Forschungsfrage betrachtet werden; zum einen, da die Einkommensungleichheit weltweit gestiegen ist, während zum anderen progressive Einkommensteuertarife als Mittel sowie damit verbundene Ziele (z. B. soziale Gerechtigkeit durch Umverteilung) starker Kritik ausgesetzt sind. Bisherige Begründungen eines progressiven Einkommensteuertarifs aus der Perspektive der Gleichmäßigkeit der Besteuerung wurden verworfen.
