Estimates of Environmental Impact on the Environment During Energy Generation

Abstract

An algorithm for constructing a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of choosing the prevailing acceptability of using one or another type of energy resource from the standpoint of environmental safety is proposed. A quantitative comparative analysis of the interaction of various resources with the environment in the presence and absence of waste emissions has been carried out. It is shown that the ecological safety of the use of the resource is quite reliably characterized by the indicator of the relative environmental load of the environment. The method of expert assessments is supplemented by the use of a random number generator to form an information field about the values of the characteristics of energy resources and statistical processing of data on acceptable energy resources in the conditions of the regions under consideration. To conduct a comparative analysis by indicators and types of resources, a graphical-analytical technique was used. It is shown that from the point of view of energy efficiency and environmental safety, it is advisable to use nuclear, solar and wind resources. The results are useful for developing development projects and ensuring the energy security of the regions in the context of reforms.
