A dyadic Green’s function for a sphere with an eccentric spherical inclusion is used to evaluate the electricfield intensity throughout a non-spherical nano-particle, excited by a distant, electric, Herz dipole. The particle comprises gold (Au) and glass (Si) eccentric spherical layers. The theory is analytical and exact. The numerical results suggest that proper combination of the two materials can enhance the electric-field intensity on the surface of the metal by as much as 200 times.
