This paper discusses the current situation, challenges, and future prospects of transportation enterprises in green and low-carbon development. As global warming becomes increasingly severe, the transportation industry, as one of the main sources of carbon emissions, is facing pressure to transform and upgrade. The introduction of relevant policies, diversified market demands, enterprises’ practical exploration, and technological innovation have, to a certain extent, promoted the green and low-carbon development of transportation enterprises. At the same time, these enterprises also face problems in green and low-carbon development, such as excessively high costs of technological upgrading, imperfect market mechanisms, backward infrastructure, and insufficient public awareness. Therefore, corresponding measures are proposed, including the promotion of new energy vehicles, optimization of road network planning, development of intelligent transportation, strengthening of technological innovation, and improvement of public awareness. In addition, the paper demonstrates the achievements of specific transportation enterprises in green and low-carbon development through case studies, and puts forward relevant suggestions: transportation enterprises need to establish and improve an energy-saving management and environmental protection system; deepen internal environmental protection publicity and education to enhance employees’ environmental awareness and sense of responsibility; and commit to the comprehensive improvement of technical levels. Thus, the dual growth of economic benefits and environmental benefits can be achieved.
