Aluminum has turned out to be the most prized nonferrous metal in the modern economy. Aluminum is essential to every sphere of present-day life, as was demonstrated by the Fourth International Conference Aluminum: Alloys, Rolled Products, and Profiles for Industry and Construction. The conference was held in Krasnoyarsk on June 7–8 of this year and was organized by the journal “Metallosnabzhenie i Sbyt” with the support of the Russian Association of Metal-Product Suppliers, the companies Rusal and Metall-Ekspo, and the Segal Casting and Pressing Plant. In the course of the conference, 120 managers and specialists at companies which produce different types of aluminum products, metal-trading organizations, and companies in industry and construction discussed the current state and growth prospects of the Russian aluminum market and visited metallurgical plants in Krasnoyarsk. …
