Abstract

The main aim of this chapter is to analyse the impact of the emerging environmental regulation of batteries on the Spanish reverse logistics system. The complex reverse supply chains for collecting, recovering and treating used batteries will be characterised in the Spanish context. The main problems regarding this system will be identified, and, finally, improvements to the current reverse logistics system will be proposed.
