Abstract

Die Untersuchung von Cryptocurrency Enabled and Dependent Crimes vertieft sich in die komplexe Welt kryptowährungsbezogener Verbrechen und beleuchtet die Verwendung von Kryptowährungen bei Betrug und Geldwäsche. Das Kapitel beginnt mit der Definition wesentlicher Begriffe und der Bereitstellung einer Taxonomie der Kryptowährungstechnologien. Anschließend untersucht sie anhand detaillierter Fallstudien gängige, durch Kryptowährungen ermöglichte und abhängige Verbrechen und bietet Einblicke in Untersuchungen in der realen Welt. Die Autoren diskutieren die Herausforderungen bei der Untersuchung dieser Verbrechen und schlagen technische und rechtliche Regulierungsmaßnahmen zur Bekämpfung von Verbrechen gegen Kryptowährungen vor. Das Kapitel schließt mit einem Weg nach vorn und abschließenden Bemerkungen, in denen die Notwendigkeit gemeinsamer Anstrengungen zwischen Strafverfolgungsbehörden, Regulierungsbehörden und privaten Einrichtungen betont wird, um diese Verbrechen wirksam zu bekämpfen. Diese umfassende Analyse, angereichert mit praktischen Beispielen und Experteneinsichten, macht sie zu einer wertvollen Ressource für Fachleute, die Verbrechen im Zusammenhang mit Kryptowährungen verstehen und bekämpfen wollen.
