For the past 22 years the WRSA has attracted researchers from the far ends of the earth to its annual meetings. By providing a home for the remote regions sessions, the WRSA annual meeting has been a place where social scientists interested in those off the beaten path places can share and learn from one another. Sometimes these gatherings have been large. Sometimes they have been small. But they have always been remote. The purpose of this talk is to make remote regions a little less remote to you. …
