In the first chapter we saw how the managerial context has changed and an attempt has been made to identify some structure in the chaos. We have seen some of the paradoxes of modern management theory. We have identified knowledge as a prime resource of the modern company and a learning attitude as a prime attitude. In the second chapter we have investigated what we can learn from the sciences. Different disciplines have made important progress both about knowledge and learning. We need some understanding of the basic concepts which are handled in the sciences. Though we have given some examples in chapter 2 about some of the possible consequences of some of the concepts for management, we have not really applied those concepts to management. This chapter will apply the concepts of chapter 2 in a managerial context.
