Abstract
In 2009, the California Department of Transportation (known as Caltrans) published a guidance manual known as the Fish Guidance Manual on how to evaluate noise impacts from pile driving on fish (ICF Jones and Stokes and Illingworth and Rodkin, Inc. 2009). This manual provides detailed information and guidance in the process of assessing and mitigating potential impacts to fish. The manual includes as an appendix a detailed compendium of the underwater pile-driving sound data collected.
