Abstract
Five new species of soil algae from a Dalmatian island are described and figured. One of them belongs to theXanthophyceae: Chlorellidium astigmatum Schwarz, the other areChlorococcales: Borodinellopsis oleifera Schwarz,Tetracystis compacta Schwarz,T. sarcinalis Schwarz, andBracteacoccus minutus Schwarz. For a sixth species,Gloeobotrys firmus (Xanthophyseae), originally described byPascher 1939, a complete description, a latin diagnosis and figures of developmental stages and reproduction are given.
