Abstract
The influence of the water/cement ratio on fracture toughness of ordinary concrete has been investigated. The stress intensity factorK IIc and fracture energyJ IIc has been tested (Mode II, shearing). The concrete structure was examined by SEM and the influence of water/cement ratio on concrete cracking has been established.
