Summaries

This paper reports the use of structural and fractographic scanning electron microscopic analysis in the evaluation of the performance and durability, by natural and artificial exposure trials of low VOC solvent-borne and current water-borne coatings and also semi-transparent stains when compared with opaque white paints. Two species of wood, pine and spruce were used in these tests.
