Conclusions

  1. 1.

The use of nonlinear models has made it possible to obtain equations taking into consideration the nonadditiveness of the influence of elements and the interaction between them on the position of the critical points.

  2. 2.

In determining the critical points of steels of nonnormal compositions (such as those containing all elements at the upper limit or in extrapolation for those far beyond the limits of the content of elements considered) with the use of the interpolation models obtained it is impossible to guarantee accuracy in the results.

  3. 3.

The models obtained make it possible to sufficiently rapidly and easily calculate the critical points for steels of specific compositions, which is important for designating the proper heating or cooling temperatures in heat treatment.
