Abstract
Recently from 9th to 15th May 2022, extreme rainfall has been showered in parts of the Dima Hasao district of Assam, India. This rainfall event accompanied catastrophic landslides and flood situations in this area, and about 30,000 people were directly affected. Therefore, to provoke wide public attention, this study underlines a preliminary assessment of landslides reported from different parts of Dima Hasao, including their locality, description, and impacts. At the same time, this study also encourages future research in favour of landslide hazard and risk mitigation in Northeast India.
