Abstract
The traditional distinction between children and adults is that children are developing, whereas adults have attained a relatively stable state of maturity. The existence of a Handbook of Adult Development, however, casts doubt on this distinction. Presumably, I needn’t convince the readers of this Handbook that development continues into adulthood.
