Auszug
Schmerz stellt einerseits eine große Belastung für die Patienten dar, andererseits sind dadurch höhere Kosten und u.U. längere Krankenhausaufenthalte der Fall. Schmerz ist immer subjektiv und wird individuell unterschiedlich erlebt. Psychische Faktoren, wie Hilflosigkeit, Angst, Depression usw. steigern die Wirkung von Schmerz als physiologischen Stressor und haben Einfluss auf die Schmerzstärke. Ängste, Verspannungen und Herabsetzung der Schlafqualität mindern das Wohlbefinden und verzögern den Genesungsprozess.
