Abstract
Europe is characterized by an increasing diversity of employment forms. Some of them are driven by technological developments, like crowd employment (supply and demand for paid labor matched on online platforms) and ICT-based mobile work (work outside of the premises of the employer or client, with the support of modern technologies and less place-bound than telework). They have both positive and negative effects on the working conditions of the affected workers that should be (better) considered by policy makers to protect workers.
