Netzwerke sind populär – in der vom Internet und anderen Technologien faszinierten Medienöffentlichkeit, aber auch in soziologischen Zeitdiagnosen und Theorien.* Das ist insofern eine Neuigkeit, als Netzwerke in der Soziologie seit den klassischen Theorien von Durkheim, Marx und Weber keine große Rolle gespielt hatten.
