Zusammenfassung

Ob kritische Themen in Organisationen angesprochen oder verschwiegen werden, beeinflusst das individuelle und kollektive Lernen, die Qualität von Gruppenentscheidungen, das Erkennen von Fehlern und Fehlentwicklungen und die Gesundheit der Mitarbeiter/innen. Für Führungskräfte bietet die offene Rückmeldung der Geführten eine wichtige Informationsquelle für die Angemessenheit des eigenen Führungshandelns und Anpassungsbedarf im Team. Im Kapitel stelle ich die wesentlichen Motive für Mitarbeiterschweigen vor und beschreibe, welche Faktoren auf der Ebene des Individuums, des Teams und der Organisation diese Motive begünstigen. Im letzten Teil des Kapitels zeige ich Ansatzpunkte auf, wie Führungskräfte Mitarbeiterschweigen überwinden können.
