Zusammenfassung

Seit langem ist die Zeitperspektive als psychologische Variable Gegenstand theoretischer und empirischer Forschung. Auf ihre Bedeutsamkeit für die psychologische Forschung hat insbesondere Lewin (23) hingewiesen. So können nach Lewin Verhaltensphänomene wie Hoffnung, Furcht, Erwartung, Vorhaben und Sorge psychologisch nur verstanden werden, wenn man die Aufmerksamkeit auf deren zeitliche Strukturierung richtet. Der Lewinsche Begriff Lebensraum (lifespace) als Komplex von verursachenden Handlungsfaktoren weist Ähnlichkeiten mit dem Begriff Zeitperspektive auf: „The life-space of an individual, far from being limited what he considers the present situation, includes the future, the present, and also the past. Actions, emotions, and certainly the morale of an individual at any instant depend upon this total time perspective“ (23, S. 104).
