Zusammenfassung
Die Entwicklung der Dörfer und die Herausbildung der Kulturlandschaften haben die Raumentwicklung in Europa maßgeblich bestimmt. Mit der Industrialisierung im 19. Jahrhundert begann der wirtschaftliche Bedeutungsverlust der Landwirtschaft und führte im 20. Jahrhundert und insbesondere nach 1950 zu einem Prozess der „Entagrarisierung“.
