Activities/Major Accomplishments/Contributions
The International Society for Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL) is dedicated to advancing the scientific study of health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and other patient-centered outcomes to identify effective interventions, enhance the quality of health care, and promote the health of populations. It carries out its mission primarily through the sponsorship of scientific conferences, its journal Quality of Life Research, educational webinars, and its special interest groups. Since its beginning in 1993, ISOQOL has been an international collaborative network including researchers, clinicians, patient advocates, government scientists, industry representatives, and policy makers who have unique perspectives and interests in HRQOL research.
