Summary
In batch and continuous experiments, the influence of NH4 |post|staggered|+-N on anaerobic digestion of liquid piggery manure was investigated. The source of nitrogen as well as its concentration influenced the fermentation. By means of pH-controlled operation and a suitable choice of temperature, inhibitory effects of NH4 |post|staggered|+-N could be prevented.
