Zum Feinbau der Suberinschichten im Flaschenkork

Summary

The suberinic layer of the cell wall in bottle cork was investigated by means of ultrathin sections in the electron microscope. The layer was found to consist of fine lamellae, as was expected and depicted, in cork of other plants, by Falk and El-Hadidi. Certain difficulties involved in the investigation of this lamellated structure are discussed briefly.
