Adam Feddes pursued a management career in the building industry from 1950 to 1987. He acquired wide experience with the different housing markets and policies in Western countries. As a pensioner he made international housing studies into one of his hobbies. He received his PhD on this subject at Utrecht University in 1995.
Frans Dieleman is professor of urban and rural geography at Utrecht University, Utrecht, the Netherlands. He also serves as Director of the Netherlands Graduate School of Housing and Urban Research (NETHUR)
