Abstract
In the phase diagrams of reciprocal systems with negligible solubilities in the solid state the liquidi of the stable pair intersect. A relationship between the length of this intersection and the Gibbs free energy for the reciprocal reaction of the pure solids has been derived. Calculated values from experimental results are compared with data from free energy tables and show good agreement.
